Independence Answers was created to make practical information easier to find, understand, and use. Making that information accessible to as many people as possible is an important part of that mission.
Our Approach to Accessibility
We aim to design and maintain Independence Answers in a way that makes its guides and resources usable by people with a wide range of abilities, needs, devices, and assistive technologies.
As the site continues to develop, we work to consider accessibility in areas such as:

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a reference when evaluating and improving the accessibility of the site.
An Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a one-time project. Websites, technology, standards, and the needs of the people using them continue to change.
We will continue reviewing Independence Answers and making reasonable improvements as we identify accessibility issues or opportunities to make the site easier to use.
